Dear Colleagues,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Organisational Committee and the Board of the Polish Arthroscopiy Society, we would like to invite you to take part in the 5th Congress of our Society, which will be held on 19-21 October 2023 in Gdańsk, Poland.
We hope that the city, which has always been Poland’s “window on the world”, this time will serve as a “window display” showcasing the best and latest in minimally invasive and arthroscopic surgery. We anticipate an extensive scientific programme featuring some of the greatest names in world orthopedics, but also promoting young researchers eager to show off their work. A number of colleagues from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia have already indicated their participation in the Congress, raising its prestige and emphasising the Baltic focus of the event.
Our venue, located in the very heart of the Gdańsk Old Town, is the Baltic Philharmonic, which is not only the pride of the local music lovers, but also a modern Congress Centre.
For many years, Gdańsk has been regarded as one of the most important landmarks on Poland’s tourist map, which translates into a wide range of hotels and ease of access, whether by train, car or by air, via the Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport.
We hope to meet your expectations as hosts and organizers and treat you to an unforgettable scientific and social event.

There is only one city like Gdansk. Others may only be similar. Its unique location and over a thousand years of history make Gdansk distinctive, resolute, with a strong and well-established position on the map of Europe. At the same time, it is a city that still hides many secrets and has that “something” that makes it impossible to confuse it with any other.
There is no Gdansk without freedom. Courage, freshness, but most of all freedom. This is a true Gdansk tradition. Virtue, which has been highly valued by the inhabitants of Gdansk for centuries, has shaped the city’s unique “genius loci”. You can feel it as well among the tenement houses of the Old Town as between the shipyard cranes of the Young Town, on beautiful sandy beaches and in post-industrial halls, parks and tunnels: in Gdansk freedom is omnipresent, you can almost touch it. It inspires and transforms both space and people. This is what the people of Gdansk are like: brave, committed, passionate and creative. This is what contemporary Gdansk is like: open to new ideas, moving with the times, creating events, still surprising.
